A man was partially ejected in a two-truck crash as sleet began to fall in Wiggins on Tuesday night. His arm was trapped under his upside down vehicle. It happened on New Hope Road and Thelma Andrews Road.
Evelyn Garrison of Stone County pleaded guilty to first-degree murder Monday instead of an indicted charge of capital murder in the murder-for-hire killing of her husband two years ago. She had asked a childhood friend to hire a man to kill her husband at his business in 2015.
Eli Marrero, 16, of Wiggins escaped Stone County Youth Court and injured Chief Deputy Phyllis Olds, a sheriff’s official said. Also reported missing is Jarrod Joseph Delancey, 15, of Perkinson. He was last seen about 11 p.m. Wednesday.
