Beloved Coast Mexican restaurant reopens following decade-long closure
Following months of anticipation and a ten-year closure, Los Tres Amigos Taco and Tequila Bar reopened Monday in Gulfport.
With a revamped menu including camarones a la diabla, mojarra, protein bowls and ramen birria, the restaurant drew a steady lunchtime crowd eager to sample its reimagined flavors.
The restaurant opened on East Pass Road in 1994 before closing its doors in 2016. Owners have teased the restaurant’s reopening since December 2024, leading to growing excitement online.
“Folks we are open for business. We want to serve you all with the best possible service,” the owners said in a Facebook post. “Thank you all for your continued support and patience.”
Restaurant owners said the building’s complete renovation resulted in a delayed opening, which was originally slated for Monday, June 15. The building’s new interior features colorful murals, patterned tile and a full bar.
The restaurant will be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
The owners could not be reached for comment.
