A post on social media alerted players that several big progressive jackpots were waiting at Harrah’s Gulf Coast, and a player came in and claimed a big win.
Jayne (no last name provided) from Texas became the 10th winner this year of a jackpot of $100,000 or more at a Coast casino.
She was playing a DJ Wild Poker Game on the evening of June 16 when she won the progressive jackpot of $211,961.
“We told you those progressive jackpots were heating up,” Nick Hackman, sales and communications manager at Harrah’s Gulf Coast, said on Facebook after posting the original notice a few days earlier. This jackpot at Harrah’s wasn’t the only big win from that post. The next day a player won at Horseshoe Tunica, another property in Mississippi owned by Caesars Entertainment.
“We all share these progressives,” he said, and that’s what gives the Mississippi sister properties the ability to have the large progressive jackpots.
In addition to Harrah’s Gulf Coast, the jackpots build at three other Caesars-owned casinos in Mississippi: Horseshoe Tunica, Trop Greenville and Isle of Isle Casino Hotel Lula
“We have several progressive poker games to choose from,” he said and, “Several of our progressive table games are still sitting in the six-figure range.”
Although the totals have changed since the original Facebook post, among the mega progressive jackpots building are:
▪ $435,000 on I Love Suits poker
▪ $407,788 on 777 Blazing Blackjack
▪ $197,778 on Crazy 4 Poker Progressive
▪ $157,617 on Face Up Pai Gow poker
Of the 10 jackpots won at Biloxi area casinos this year, half were won on table games or video poker instead of traditional slot machines.
