Lucky winner hits jackpot on $12.50 slot spin at South Mississippi casino
The slots are hot at Scarlet Pearl Casino in D’Iberville, where several players won $10,000 to $24,000 in recent days and one winner hit a jackpot topping $100,000.
The unidentified big winner was in Scarlet Pearl’s high-limits Orchid Room on Thursday, May 15.
Drawn by an Aristocrat Lightning Cash machine and a 50-cent demon, the player bet $12.50. The machine paid a jackpot of $112,098.01.
Scarlet Pearl posted on social media several big payouts since May 10.
The largest of these was a $24,100 win on the Dragon Cash Peace and Long Life slot machine in the Orchid Room on a $2 dollar demon and a $50 bet.
Other big wins were $21,501 on a 10 cent Demon on a $58.80 bet; a $21,081 win on a Lightning Link 5 cent Demon and a $3.75 bet; and $20,417 on a one cent Demon and a $5 bet.
This is the eighth jackpot of $100,000 or more paid at Coast casinos this year. They hit at five different casinos.

May 9 — Santigo S. (no last name provided) won $402,411 at Golden Nugget Casino Biloxi, where he played blackjack for about an hour and 20 minutes. He placed a side bet and hit the jackpot on the casino’s 21+3 Blackjack Progressive game.
March 21 — A Georgia woman won double video poker jackpots a few minutes apart at Hard Rock Casino Biloxi playing Triple Triple Bonus Poker. She won $100,000 and $50,000.
March 7 — Shawn (no last name provided), of Mobile, Ala, won $142,550.75 at the Palace Casino Resort in Biloxi while playing the Lightning Buffalo Link slot machine.
March 6 — An unidentified player from Kentucky won $100,000 at Hard Rock Casino Biloxi on a Game King video poker machine, betting $125 per spin on the $25 Triple Double Bonus Poker game. He hit a lucky royal flush in spades.
Feb. 15 — A player from Birmingham, Alabama, won a $300,000 jackpot at Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi on a 2-credit bet. It was a 2-credit bet on the same $100 denomination Triple Double Stars slot machine that hit a jackpot on Feb. 12.
Feb. 12 — A player from Gulfport won a $150,000 jackpot at Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi playing a $100 denomination Triple Double Stars machine with a 1-credit bet.
Jan. 22 — During a rare snowstorm, a South Carolina player won $270,000 at Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi, playing a $100 Triple Double Stars slot machine on a $200 bet.
