Two more jackpots hit at MS Coast casinos, with big winners on slot, video poker machines
Bells are ringing as two more jackpots hit at Mississippi Coast casinos in March.
Shawn (no last name provided) posed for a photograph with a ceremonial check after winning $142,550.75 at the Palace Casino Resort in Biloxi. The man from Mobile was playing the Lightning Buffalo Link slot machine on Friday, March 7.
A day earlier, at 11 p.m. on March 6, an unidentified player from Kentucky won in spades at Hard Rock Casino Biloxi on a video poker hand. The player hit a $100,000 jackpot.
The man was playing a Game King poker machine and was betting $125 per spin on the $25 Triple Double Bonus Poker game. He played for about 13 minutes when he hit a lucky royal flush in spades.
Three other jackpots of $100,000 or more were posted so far this year at Coast casinos. They include:
Feb. 15 — A player from Birmingham, Alabama, won a $300,000 jackpot at Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi on a 2-credit bet. It was a 2-credit bet on the same $100 denomination Triple Double Stars slot machine that hit a jackpot on Feb. 12.
Feb. 12 — A player from Gulfport won a $150,000 jackpot at Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi playing a $100 denomination Triple Double Stars machine with a 1-credit bet.
Jan. 22 — During a rare snowstorm, a South Carolina player won $270,000 at Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi, playing a $100 Triple Double Stars slot machine on a $200 bet.
In 2024, the jackpots started hitting in early March, when the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi was celebrating its 25th anniversary.
Two of the jackpots topped $1 million and the payout was $5.95 million for the 17 jackpots of $100,000 or more by the end of the year. Five of them came on table games.
So far in 2025, Coast casinos have five jackpots of $100,000 or more and a payout of $962,551.
