Eli Marrero, 16, of Wiggins escaped Stone County Youth Court and injured Chief Deputy Phyllis Olds, a sheriff’s official said. Also reported missing is Jarrod Joseph Delancey, 15, of Perkinson. He was last seen about 11 p.m. Wednesday.
The Wiggins Police Department said Stone Middle School was locked down as a precaution after two suspects got into a fight on Auburn Street nearby and a gun was fired. Darius Young, who was on probation and wearing a GPS monitor until the fight, has been arrested and booked into the Stone County Regional Correctional Facility.
