Millions in jackpots paid out at MS Coast casinos — and millions more there for the taking
Two players at Biloxi area casinos cashed in for more than $1 million in 2024, and more jackpots could hit at any time.
Both million dollar-plus jackpots came at Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi, as the resort celebrated its 25th anniversary.
The first and largest of the year hit on March 8, at the start of the anniversary celebration, when an unidentified player won on a Wheel of Fortune slot machine.
That was followed April 27, when an unidentified player won $1.2 million playing a Dragon Link slot game.
More millionaires could follow, since several progressive jackpots on IGT slot machines continue to grow. Here’s how big the jackpots are on New Year’s Eve at Coast casinos, according to the IGT jackpot tracker:
▪ $1.98 million on the Wheel of Fortune $5 game at Scarlet Pearl Casino. The last jackpot hit was 2,651 days ago for $1.38 million.
▪ $1.23 million on Wheel of Fortune 25 cent games at Treasure Bay Casino, Beau Rivage Resort & Casino and Silver Slipper Casino. The last jackpot hit 518 days ago for $323,591.
▪ $1.13 million Wheel of Fortune $1 game at Palace Casino Biloxi and Beau Rivage Casino. The last jackpot was 296 days ago and payout was $1.25 million
2024 a lucky year at Coast casinos
While there weren’t the multi-million dollar jackpots of the first 10 years at Coast casinos, it was a good year for larger payouts.
The numbers show:
▪ A total of $5.95 million in jackpots over $100,000
▪ 17 wins over $100,000
▪ An 18th win could be considered when three jackpots totaling $235,000 hit in one weekend at Scarlet Pearl
▪ Five players won on poker or other table games instead of slots
Local players complain that only out-of-towers win at the Coast casinos, like Jason Jenson, better known as “Greatness Reinvented” on YouTube, who hit a jackpot at the Beau Rivage while he was evacuated during Hurricane Milton in Florida.
This year there were local jackpot winners and others from within Mississippi.
A Coast resident won a $401,620 jackpot with Three Seven-of-Diamonds on Triple 7 Blazing Blackjack at Scarlet Pearl Casino in D’Iberville, and a woman from Gulfport was among the three players to hit the same weekend in June at Scarlet Pearl Casino.
Others who chose not to be identified also may have been local players
The largest jackpot in the 26-year history of Coast casinos came at Hard Rock Biloxi, when the late Thomas McMillan, of Woolmarket, won over $14 million on a Wheel of Fortune slot machine. It’s the largest jackpot in Mississippi.

Here is the list of jackpot winners for 2024 on the Coast:
Dec. 8 — A Mississippi woman, Angela Lacey, who lives in Florence, just south of Jackson, was at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino playing the 10-cent denomination Ultimate Fire Link slot machine when she turned a $50 bet into a jackpot of $163,834.
Nov. 14 — Jack Boswell of Panama City Beach, Florida hit a late night jackpot of $122,029 playing the 10-cent denomination Buffalo Cash slot game at Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi. He had been playing for 40 minutes when he hit the jackpot with a $20 bet.
Nov. 13 — Angel Y. (no last name provided), a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, won a $401,620 jackpot with Three Seven-of-Diamonds on Triple 7 Blazing Blackjack at Scarlet Pearl Casino in D’Iberville
Oct. 18 — Jerry (no last name provided) of Texas was playing Light & Wonder’s Carnival 3-Card Poker at IP Casino. After betting $1, he hit the progressive jackpot with a royal flush of hearts. His hand paid a jackpot of $206,979.
Oct. 13 — Kenneth (no last name provided), a resident of Louisiana, was playing Pai Gow Poker progressive at IP Casino Resort in Biloxi and wagered $1. When revealing his lucky hand, he showed a seven-card straight flush from 3 to 9 of spades, with a Joker serving as the 7 of spades. That was good for a $319,348 payout.
Oct. 8 — YouTube celebrity Jason Jensen, Better known as “Greatness Reinvented,” won a $146,250 jackpot at Beau Rivage Casino Resort in Biloxi after he fled Hurricane Milton in Florida. He hit the jackpot a high limit Dragon Link slot around 7 a.m.
Friday, Sept. 13 — A Mississippi resident had a lucky day at IP Casino Resort in Biloxi, winning a $126,555 while playing the Dollar Storm slot machine by Aristocrat Gaming. The person placed a $7.50 bet.
Aug. 30 — An anonymous player won $100,000 playing a top Dollar at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, the sixth jackpot at the year at the casino. The winner had been playing for an hour on the $100 denomination game and bet $200 that spin.
July 31 — A player from Alabaster, Alabama, who asked to remain anonymous, won $160,000 on the $100 Pinball slot machine. at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi. The person started playing just two minutes earlier and played four games when the jackpot hit. The bet was $200.
July 25 — Peter H. (no last name provided) was playing Face Up Pai Gow at Harrah’s Gulf Coast in Biloxi. Defying the odds, he won a jackpot of $290,521 with a royal street flush.
July 21 — A person from Orange Beach, Alabama, hit the jackpot at the Beau Rivage Casino for $205,163.61 while playing an Aristocrat Mo’ Mummy slot machine at 2:28 a.m. with a bet of $11.25.
June 28 — Three slot jackpots hit on the same day at Scarlet Pearl Casino in D’Iberville:
▪ A man from Austin, Texas, hit $49,141.30 playing dimes on a Mighty Cash in the high limits Orchid Room.
▪ A woman from Gulfport hit $86,038.09 playing dimes on a Lock it Link in the Orchid Room.
▪ A man from Iuka, Mississippi won $99,800 playing The Triple Blazing 7s Double game.
June 24 —Karen S. (no last name provided) was playing Three-Card Poker June 24 when she hit the jackpot for $480,000 at Harrah’s Gulf Coast in Biloxi.
June 18 — Duane, no last name provided, from Illinois, won a $162,868.67 jackpot at IP Casino Biloxi on a $5 bet on Dollar Storm Caribbean Gold slot game by Aristocrat Gaming
June 13 — An unidentified player won $160,000 at Hard Rock Casino Biloxi in the casino’s high limits room. The player bet $200 on the spin on the Double Diamond Deluxe slot machine and won the jackpot.
April 27 — an unidentified player won big with a $1,217,921.02 jackpot at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino playing a $1 Dragon Link game with a $25 minimum bet in the high limits area of the casino.
April 19 — Rosa V. (last name not disclosed) of McAllen, Texas, was playing a $100 Triple Double Stars game in the high limit slot room at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino when she won a $200,000 jackpot.
March 8 — An unidentified player won a life-changing jackpot of $1,254,996 playing a $1 denomination Wheel of Fortune Triple Gold Gold Spin at the Beau Rivage.
