Little Big Town and Harrah’s to lend helping hand to Harvey victims
Little Big Town and Harrah’s Gulf Coast are spreading a little love, pledging proceeds from additional ticket sales for Friday’s concert in Biloxi to help victims of Hurricane Harvey.
All ticket sales from now until the concert Friday will be donated to the American Red Cross, and the Grammy-winning group has committed to matching this donation.
The American Red Cross will be taking monetary donations at the concert and ticket proceeds and contributions will provide aid, shelter, food, comfort kits, emotional support and health services to the people in Texas devastated by the winds and flooding from Hurricane Harvey.
“Harrah’s Gulf Coast and our sister property in New Orleans know better than most what our neighboring states are going through,” said Jonathan Jones, general manager at Harrah’s Gulf Coast, who helped reopen the Biloxi casino after Hurricane Katrina. “We know that every bit of support — financial or otherwise —helps greatly on the road to recovery. We are united with them in their efforts to overcome and rebuild, and hope to make a positive impact in their recovery.”
Gates to The Great Lawn open at 6 p.m. Friday and the show begins at 8 p.m. General admission tickets along with pit and VIP tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster.
