Who was the MS Coast’s best boys soccer player during the 25-26 season? Vote now
The Mississippi Coast was again deeply represented in Jackson at season’s end.
St. Patrick claimed the area’s two championships, completing a Class I sweep between the girls and boys programs. Biloxi, George County and Bay High all won South State titles in the boys brackets while East Central and Long Beach did the same on the girls side.
Here’s the chance for fans to make their choice for the Sun Herald Boys Player of the Year for the 2025-26 season. The fans’ choice winner for Player of the Year will be recognized along with the rest of the All-South Mississippi Team.
Nominations for the All-South team can still be made by email the athlete’s name, school, stats and info to sports@sunherald.com.

This year’s nominees
Mason Bosarge, Bay High: Bosarge was among the Coast’s leaders in goals and points, finding the net 29 times and assisting on 23 more goals.
Dontae McInnis, Biloxi: McInnis led the Indians with 21 goals scored and picked up eight more assists.
Aaron Villa, Gautier: The senior MS Coast All Star paced the Gators with 12 goals and seven assists.
Mason Nguyen, Harrison Central: The Red Rebels scored 15 goals and added five assists as a junior.
Braiden Bonds, Long Beach: Bonds led the Coast in goals for the second straight year with 31 scored. He assisted on six more.
Owen Hughes, Ocean Springs: Hughes spent the first 11 games at center back where he helped the Greyhounds to six shutouts. He then moved to striker where he scored 10 goals with 13 assists in just 14 games.
Noah Roche, Pass Christian: The Coast All Star led the Pirates with 13 goals and assisted on another five.
Lucas Kurihara, St. Patrick: Kurihara was one of the more productive players on the Coast, scoring 26 goals and recording 19 assists.
