It’s time to vote for the Sun Herald’s MS Coast Athlete of the Week for Feb. 19

The playoffs are here for basketball teams across the Coast vying for a ticket to Jackson. On the pitch, the postseason ended this weekend with three champions from South Mississippi.

We honor some of the top playoff performances of last week in this week’s poll.

  • Anna Katherine Thriffiley, St. Patrick girls soccer: Thriffiley recorded a hat trick to boost the Fighting Irish in their Class I championship victory over Tupelo Christian.
  • Braiden Bonds, Long Beach boys soccer: Bonds scored two goals in the 6A title game win over Center Hill.
  • Maddox Noblitt, Ocean Springs boys basketball: Noblitt scored 18 points in leading the Greyhounds to their first playoff win in 20 years.
  • Dorian McMillian, Pascagoula boys basketball: McMillian scored 28 points in a 73-46 win over West Jones.
  • Aujaylen Barron, Harrison Central boys basketball: Barron dropped 30 points in the 79-66 win against Northwest Rankin.
  • JaMarcus McCaleb, West Harrison boys basketball: McCaleb led the Hurricanes with 16 points in a stunning upset win over defending champion Hattiesburg.
  • Zaniya Johnson, Biloxi girls basketball: Johnson scored 23 points, grabbed 12 boards and blocked seven shots in a win over Brandon.
