Coast high school football schedule changed due to Sally. What you need to know.
Three high school football games have been moved back to Saturday and two other contests have been canceled as coaches across South Mississippi are considering postponing contests due to the threat of Hurricane Sally.
The three games that have been moved back are:
▪ Moss Point will host East Central at 7 p.m. on Saturday in a Jackson County rivalry contest.
▪ Perry Central will travel to Bay High for a 6 p.m. kickoff on Saturday
▪ Pass Christian will host North Pike at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
The D’Iberville-George County game has been called off. The two teams hadn’t been able to get enough practices in this week and the coaches would rather have their players rest up for the start of region competition next week.
Also canceled is the Greene County-Gautier game.
The rest of the schedule remains the same as of now, but more changes could be on the way.
The Sun Herald will change this week’s schedule if any more contests are postponed or canceled.
