Do you know your hurricane evacuation zone? Here are the maps for 3 MS Coast counties.
As Tropical Storm Ida churns toward the Gulf of Mexico with a projected landfall near the Mississippi Gulf Coast, it’s important that everyone know which evacuation zone their home is in.
Every area near water is designated as needed to evacuate depending on the category of the storm. Some low-lying areas should evacuate in a Category 1 storm.

Tropical Storm Ida is storm is projected to strengthen into a Category 3 hurricane before landfall on Sunday.
The Mississippi Coast is under a hurricane watch and storm surge watch.
As much as 7-11 feet of storm surge is possible from Louisiana to Ocean Springs, the NHC said, and as much as 4-7 feet in Jackson County to the Mississippi/Alabama border.
