A Mobile man accused of killing an Alabama teen and disposing of his body in Greene County has been denied bond.

Mathew Moberg, 22, has been held at the George County jail since being charged in the death of Brian Parker, 16, in late May and extradited from Mobile.

Parker was last seen May 23 with Moberg in a video from a convenience store in Lucedale. His body was found on an old logging trail in Greene County on May 31.

His phone was found in Moberg’s vehicle.

The bond hearing was held Thursday in Green County Justice Court, where Moberg was denied bail.

He will remain in the George County Regional Correctional Facility. His case will be presented to the Green County’s next grand jury term, according to Pam Anderson with Greene County courts.
