KISS, MercyMe postpone Biloxi concerts due to coronavirus concerns
Those who have tickets to the KISS and Mercy Me concerts at the Coast Coliseum in Biloxi this weekend will have to hold onto them for awhile.
Both concerts are canceled for this weekend due to the recommendation from the State of Mississippi Health Department officials to cancel gatherings of larger than 250 people. Coliseum Executive Director Matt McDonnell said he was working to reschedule them.
They aren’t the only concerts called off.
Country artist Chris Stapleton’s March 20 concert at the Coast Coliseum also is postponed and Reba’s show in May was rescheduled.
Here is the revised schedule:
▪ MercyMe concert changed from March 13 to Oct. 16
▪ The March 15 KISS concert will be Tuesday, Oct. 6
▪ Chris Stapleton will reschedule his March 20 show
▪ LIT AF Tour, hosted by Martin Lawrence on March 28, will be rescheduled
▪ Spring Jam 2020 on April 4 has been canceled. All refunds will be honored at point of purchase.
▪ The May 1 Reba concert was moved to July 11
KISS previously postponed a VIP meet and greet and a ribbon cutting at its proposed Rock & Brews casino in East Biloxi that was scheduled for Sunday.
“All tickets for the postponed date will be honored and you will have the exact same seat — no new ticket will be needed,” MercyMe said on the Coast Coliseum website. “If you are unable to attend the rescheduled show, refunds will be available at the point of purchase.”
Updates and information are being provided to fans on the Coliseum Facebook page.
“We regret to report this, as this decision is due to unmanageable circumstances and apologize for any inconveniences this may cause,” the website said.
