July 4th holiday will disrupt some MS Coast garbage pickups. Here’s the schedule

Several offices and services will be affected by the holiday.

Here’s what to expect over the following week.

GARBAGE COLLECTION

Harrison County:

For Waste Management household trash, waste and recycling, all routes will run on their regular schedules, without delays. Please, have carts at the curb by 6 a.m.

Jackson County:

The landfill will be closed Friday, July 4. The landfill will reopen Saturday, July 5.

Garbage and trash pickup will run regular times and routes without delays on the holiday.

Waste Pro:

Garbage, trash and recycling will not run Friday and will run a day behind. Friday pickup will be on Saturday, July 5.

Coastal Environmental Services:

Diamondhead, Bay St. Louis, Waveland, unincorporated areas of Hancock County: Garbage pick up will run regular routes on Friday, July 4. Please, have carts out by 4 a.m. on the pick up day.

GOVERNMENT OFFICES

Government offices will be closed Wednesday.

LIBRARIES

Hancock County Library Library System: All five branches will be closed Friday, July 4. The libraries have a free online service with access to audiobooks, periodicals, movies and general information. Online services are available 24/7.

Harrison County Library System: All branches will be closed Friday, July 4, and Saturday, July 5.

Jackson-George Regional Library System: All branches will be closed Friday, July 4, and Saturday, July 5. Branches will reopen Monday, July 7. Book drops will be open for returning items, and all online services will be available for cardholders’ renewals, holds, and e-services by visiting www.jgrls.org.

Pearl River County Library System: Will be closed Friday, July 4, and remained closed until Monday, July 7.

PUBLIC TRANSIT

Coast Transit Authority: CTA fixed route bus service will operate on a Sunday time schedule on Friday, July 4. The regular schedule will resume Saturday, July 5. At the CTA Parking Garage, 1417 20th Ave., Gulfport, $10 event parking will be available for the City of Gulfport Fourth of July Fireworks Show.
