MS Coast casinos start returning to normal operations after snow and ice. Here’s the list

Temperatures slowly are rising and the ice on South Mississippi roads is melting, allowing managers at the 12 Coast casinos to resume normal operations.

While most of the casinos stayed open during Tuesday’s snowstorm that left South Mississippi blanketed, some did close their casinos and their restaurants.

Here’s the latest report on when casinos in Biloxi and across the Coast will reopen:

Palace Casino Resort is closed Wednesday. Limited restaurant service is available only for hotel guests. the casino will reopen at noon Thursday. Stacked Grill and Palace Cafe & Bakery will open at noon. Palace Buffet will open at 4 p.m.

Boomtown Biloxi is closed Wednesday and anticipates returning to normal operations on Thursday.

Scarlet Pearl Casino will continue to stay closed on Wednesday, and reopen at noon on Thursday.

“We can’t wait to welcome our guests back to Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort with fully operational gaming, restaurants and boutique,” the casino said in a press release.

Beau Rivage Resort & Casino remains open and paid out a $270,000 jackpot during Tuesday’s snow.

The resort had 1,500 hotel guests from their air charter program alone, said Mary Cracchiolo Spain, public relations director for the Beau Rivage. With the airport closed during the snow, they couldn’t fly home. She said 350 employees volunteered to stay at the hotel and work at the restaurants or wherever needed to take care of the guests.

“We’ve got people from all over the country,” she said, including those from the north and Midwest who came to Biloxi to escape the cold and snow and those from Florida and the South who had never seen this much snow and were delighted by the unexpected weather, she said.

Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast reports some venues and operations will be closed Wednesday. Normal operations are expected to resume on Thursday.

Silver Slipper Casino: The casino has a web page to keep customers updated on what is open and closed. Open are slots, bar, Palm Court and the hotel.

Closed Wednesday and Thursday are Jubilee Buffet, Blue Bayou, table games and gift shop.

Business as usual is expected to resume Friday.

Treasure Bay Casino: The casino and hotel will remain open. Infinity Buffet will reopen at 4 p.m. Thursday. The Den/Blu will reopen at 4 p.m. Wednesday. The Cove will remain open until 7 a.m. on Thursday.
