New fast food restaurant coming to D’Iberville shopping center. Hint: They love roast beef
A prime spot next to the new Chipotle Mexican Grill will be home to the city’s first Arby’s restaurant, adding another fast food choice to Promenade Parkway in D’Iberville.
Arby’s restaurants are known for their classic roast beef and beef and cheddar sandwiches plus curly fries. The menu has expanded and now includes wings, chicken nuggets, wraps and gyros. For dessert are their thick and creamy chocolate and Jamocha milkshakes, cookies and turnovers.
The next closest Arby’s restaurants are at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, which requires a base pass to access, and in downtown Ocean Springs. The Ocean Springs location temporarily was closed. It recently reopened but continues to be challenged keeping up with orders during peak times of the day.
Arby’s isn’t the only new business coming to One Promenade, said Monte Luffy, a principal with Southeast Commercial Real Estate in Ocean Springs. That area, where Chipotle opened in May, is directly to the west of The Promenade shopping plaza and continues to boom.
Between Zaxby’s and Chipotle, a Discount Tire and a Navigator Credit Union will be built, he said. Four more acres are still to be developed to the west of Hobby Lobby.
