BBQ -- Its History and Basics
What: Seminar by James Matthews
The course is two parts: 1. The history of barbecue. 2. The basics of outdoor cooking. James Matthews is a retired geophysicist who has cooked outdoors for 50 years. He has taught semi-professional grill and smoker classes and has been featured in magazines and on television in New Orleans and Biloxi. He has also written two books on barbecue.
When: 11:20 a.m. March 7

Easy Chinese II
What: Two-part seminar by Linda Bigler; an encore to the course from the fall semester. More Chinese recipes that can be prepared with ingredients easily found locally. For over 40 years, Linda Bigler has taught gourmet cooking from Tokyo to Tampa. She taught Western-style cooking in Japan and international and regional American cooking in the United States. Although now retired, Bigler enjoys sharing her cooking knowledge.

A Collection of Cards
What: Seminar by Karen LeBeau. You will make an assortment of note cards perfect to give as a gift or keep to use yourself. All supplies are provided and papers are pre-cut. If you've done this seminar before ... come do it again as all the designs are new ones.

Cost: $8 (plus $7 supply fee)
Basic Digital Photography
What: A two-part seminar by Shannon Lutkins; this course will focus on the basics of digital photography. A digital camera with manual functions is required for this course. Topics discussed: gear, exposure, settings, lighting, and composition. Shannon Lutkins is a Mississippi Gulf Coast photographer. She has won many awards, including being named South Mississippi's favorite photographer by the Sun Herald.
When: 9 a.m.March 29 and March 31
