HGTV just named this Mississippi city ‘one of the most charming small towns’ in the US
Small towns in America create a sense of community, belonging and timelessness that big cities often lack. So, it’s no wonder HGTV recently focused on highlighting some of the best and most charming small towns in the country.
But if you live in Mississippi, you might not have to look too hard to find one of the most beautiful cities around. Here’s which small town HGTV recently named one of the most charming small towns in the country.
Oxford, Mississippi, is one of the most charming small towns
Oxford, Mississippi, made HGTV’s list of the most charming small towns in the country and here’s why:
According to HGTV, Oxford is the “home of world-famous author William Faulkner. It was also once the home of contemporary author John Grisham.”
Oxford is referred to as the “Cultural Mecca of the South,” which makes more writers, musicians and artists flock to the town. Oxford even has James Beard Award winner John Currence, who won Best Chef South in 2009.
