Another new restaurant is coming to The Promenade. This one has a big menu and a kick
Another new restaurant is opening at The Promenade in D’Iberville and this one will bring a kick to lunch and dinner.
Pedros Tacos and Tequila Bar will debut late this spring or summer, said co-owner Ruben Chavez.
The sign for the Mexican restaurant already is up at the former Logan’s Steakhouse at The Promenade, south of Target and near Best Buy.
This is the first Pedros location in South Mississippi. The franchise has seven locations open or coming soon in Louisiana and five in Florida. They only other Pedros in Mississippi is at Natchez.
Customers will notice the size of the menu and the variety of favorite Mexican dishes and combos that will be offered.
The menu has four varieties of nachos, five kinds of enchiladas and a big selection of tacos filled with meat, fish or shrimp and topped with signature sauces made daily.
For those who can’t choose, Pedros provides a sampler platter of appetizers and The Favorite for lunch. It gives a taste of one each burrito, beef taco, beef enchilada and chalupa for $10.99.
Pedros has choices not seen at many Mexican restaurants, like a fiesta fajita salad in a taco bowl, several grilled entrees or vegetarian fajitas. The kids’ menu has both tacos and chicken nuggets for kids who want Mexican and those who don’t.
Tequila may be the specialty of the restaurant, given it’s in the name, but margaritas and a tropical drink served in a pineapple also will tame the spice of lunch or dinner, which will be served daily.
Also opening at The Promenade in D’Iberville are a Jersey Mike’s sandwich shop on June 1 and Crumbl Cookie on Friday, April 29.
