Iconic rock band to bring ‘Fly Like an Eagle’ and other classic hits to South MS

The band that plays the blues, rock and pop and is known for “Fly Like an Eagle” and other hits is headed to South Mississippi.

The 2025 tour of the Steve Miller Band will bring them to The Sound Amphitheater in Gautier, along with special guest ZZ Ward.

The show is at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

The band epitomized the ‘70s music scene with songs like “Take the Money and Run.” They’ll rock The Sound with their classic hits like “Swingtown” and “Jungle Love,” along with newer songs.

Presale tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 8, through The Sound newsletter. General tickets through Ticketmaster and other ticket platforms go on sale at 10 a.m. May 9.

June 1 — Rick Springfield: I Want My 80’s Tour with John Waite, Wang Chung, John Cafferty

June 12 — Old Dominion

July 19 — Three Dog Night & Little River Band

July 27 — Counting Crows

Aug. 3 — Skillet, known for fusion of hard rock, electronic elements and thought-provoking lyrics

Sept. 26 — Country artist Billy Currington with special guest Owen Riegling.
