It’s been more than three years since country superstar George Strait rode into New Orleans for what was billed as his last tour. The “Cowboy Rides Away Tour” hit the New Orleans Arena on April 13, 2013. And many thought that would be Strait’s last time performing in the Big Easy.

But time has a way of changing things.

Strait is returning to New Orleans as the headliner for the Bayou Country Superfest, a country music festival held at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The show is scheduled for Sunday, May 27, 2018. Strait is one of the best-selling artists in country music with 44 No. 1 hit songs.

Joining Strait will be Chris Stapleton, Little Big Town, Kasey Musgraves and Midland. Randy Houser will headline the show May 26, 2018.

Tickets go on sale Nov. 2 at Ticketmaster.com. George Strait fan club pre-sale tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
