Harrison Central focuses on what it does best against St. Martin
Harrison Central did what it does best Friday night to beat St. Martin 23-13.
Led by running back Keon Moore and quarterback Chase Jones, the Red Rebels (3-4, 2-1) rushed for 414 yards to knock off the Yellow Jackets (3-4, 0-3).
Moore led HCHS with 167 yards on 19 carries. He scored on a 7-yard run.
Jones added 109 yards on six carries and also threw a 4-yard touchdown to Jacobi Moore.
Ricky Willis scored Harrison Central’s other rushing touchdown on an 8-yard run and finished with 73 yards on nine carries.
Charles Mayer got HCHS on the scoreboard with a 38-yard field goal late in the first quarter.
Kicker Sean Gomez converted field goals of 32 and 33 yards for St. Martin. Ham McGee broke free for a 68-yard run mid-way through the first quarter to set up a 10-yard score by Landon Pankonin.
The Red Rebels are back in action next Friday at home against Gulfport. St. Martin hosts Biloxi.
