Grass fire blocks lane of traffic on I-10 in Jackson County
If you’re traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 in Jackson County and seeing smoke, prepare to slow down soon and merge into the left lane.
A grass fire near mile-marker 57 has the right lane of eastbound traffic blocked, according to a release from the Mississippi Department of Transportation.
MDOT said the lane will be closed for about 55 minutes while the fire is contained.
The area affected is near the Vancelave-Gautier exit, MDOT said.
