An investigation has led to a couple’s arrest on multiple charges alleging they had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy in Ocean Springs.
Ocean Springs Police Capt. William Jackson identified the couple Wednesday as Cory William Skalla, 40, and his wife, Ariel, 26.
Gautier police had been investigating related allegations and contacted Ocean Springs Police Sgt. Terry Hines on Monday of illegal sexual activity in Ocean Springs, Jackson said.
Gautier police arrested Cory Skalla on a charge of sexual oriented materials on Monday. He is being held at the Jackson County jail on a bond of $10,000. The charge applies to pornographic or lewd pictures intended to lure minors into sexual activity.
Ocean Springs police have now arrested the husband on six counts of sexual battery and two counts of touching a child for lustful purposes.
Police have arrested Ariel Skalla on two counts of touching a child for lustful purposes. She was being held at the Ocean Springs jail pending a bond hearing before Judge Matthew Mestayer.
Jackson said the investigation continues and other charges are likely.
The charges are unrelated to charges faced by an Ocean Springs woman accused of having sex with a 15-year-old, Jackson said.
Hines is investigating the other case as well.
