Body of Alabama man found at home in Hurley, sheriff says

The body of an Alabama man was found at a home in Hurley, Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell said, and the case is being treated as a suspicious death.

Sheriff’s deputies got a call about a body at a home in the 21000 block of Coleman Cemetery Road at 2 p.m., Ezell said.

Ezell identified the man as 28-year-old Damond Lazerrick Thomas of Wilmer, Alabama.

Ezell said officials are still investigating and no other information is available right now.
