An employee at Memorial Behavioral Health took photographs of a young patient at the center while the child was in the shower, Gulfport police said Friday.
Travis James McMurray, 26, of Gulfport was arrested Thursday on a charge of secretly photographing for lewd purposes.
Police responded to a complaint called in to police Wednesday by the child’s mother. Officers determined McMurray took the photographs.
Memorial Behavioral Health, according to Memorial Hospital at Gulfport’s website, offers inpatient and partial inpatient hospitalization at its U.S. 49 offices. Employees there “counsel adults, adolescents and children to help them and their families resolve and manage emotional and behavioral problems,” the website said.

McMurray’s position at the center is not clear.
During a follow-up investigation, two other children were identified as victims, police said, and additional warrants were issued.
McMurray was taken to the Police Department initially and then to the Harrison County jail, where he is held on a $75,000 bond set by Municipal Judge Fant Walker.
