Fire destroys vacant Saucier home
HARRISON COUNTY -- An early-morning fire destroyed a vacant home in Saucier on Wednesday.
The residence is on the 21000 block of U.S. 49, just south of Adams Road, Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan said.
The fire was reported shortly after 7 a.m., he said, and the one-story, wood-frame house was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived.
He said no one was living there at the time and no one was injured.
Responding agencies included firefighters from Saucier, Lizana, Harrison County Fire Services and the Combat Readiness Training Center.
Sullivan said he and the Harrison County Sheriff's Office are investigating the cause of the fire.
