Harrison County home destroyed in overnight fire

A Harrison County home is destroyed after an overnight fire.

Harrison County Fire Marshal Pat Sullivan said the house fire, located on Cable Bridge Road east of Vidalia Road, was reported at 4:15 a.m. Sunday morning.

The wood-frame home was destroyed, but Sullivan said no one was in the house when the fire was first discovered.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Harrison County Fire Services responded, as well as West Harrison Volunteer Fire Department, Cuevas Fire & Rescue, Lizana Volunteer Fire Department, Pass Christian Fire Department and the Combat Readiness Training Center.
