2 seriously injured in wreck on U.S. 90 in Gulfport

Two people were taken to a Gulfport hospital Saturday night after the vehicle they were in crashed into a tree, a Gulfport police official said.

Sgt. Joshua Bromen said the wreck occurred U.S. 90 near Kelly Avenue. Both occupants inside of the vehicle suffered serious injuries.

Traffic was being diverted off U.S. 90 Saturday night as crews worked to clear the scene of the accident.

Bromen said the accident is under investigation.
