Freight train hits Mercedes in Biloxi
Two people escaped without major injuries when a freight train hit their car at the railroad crossing on Magnolia Street in East Biloxi.
Biloxi police Sgt. Jackie Rhodes said the train hit a Mercedes at the Esters Avenue railroad crossing.
Police Maj. Jim Adamo said the two occupants escaped the wreck with no major injuries.
“One person reported no injuries, and the other only complained of some pain,” he said.
It’s not yet clear if the car got stuck on the tracks or failed to stop for the train.
