Moss Point's Devin Booker takes 3rd in NBA 3-point competition
Moss Point's Devin Booker didn't exactly act his age Saturday night. Most 19-year-olds wouldn't show the kind of composure the former Kentucky sharp shooter exuded during the NBA All-Star Weekend's 3-point competition.
Booker ended up placing third behind Golden State's 'Splash Bothers,' Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry, but he put on a show for the fans in Toronto.
After a slow start in Round 1, Booker ended up heating up late to tally 20 points and force a three-way tiebreaker with J.J. Redick and James Harden.
Once again a second-half surge lifted Booker past his opponents with 12 points.
In the finals, Thompson and Curry were just too much. Booker finished with 16 points behind Curry (23) and winner Thompson (27).
