Ocean Springs senior lands Sun Herald honor following offensive outburst
Ocean Springs senior guard Ryan Black is the Sun Herald Boys Player of the Week following a scoring outburst in a pair of wins last week.
Black had one of his biggest games of the season when he scored 29 points as the Greyhounds beat D'Iberville 71-56 Friday night.
In Saturday's 81-55 win at Hancock, Black poured in 19 points.
Black, a 6-foot-1 guard, is averaging 15.9 points and 6.8 rebounds a game this season.
Ocean Springs is 15-7 overall and 3-0 in Region 7-6A headed into Tuesday's crucial game at Pascagoula.
