Prep roundup: West Harrison boys top Hancock

West Harrison picked up a lopsided 90-57 win over Hancock on Tuesday. Ashton Hawkins led WHHS (1-0) with 26 points, while Drelon Pittman added 15 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Keone Powell and Ramarcus Conner each scored 12.

Gulfport girls 39, Ocean Springs 38: Jerkia McInnis’ late free throw lifted Gulfport past OSHS. Dywana Parker led GHS (1-0) with 19 points. Whitney Johnson added seven points to help Brooke Glass win her debut with the Admirals.

St. Martin 51, Theodore 37: Jeriyon Wilkens led the Yellow Jackets (2-0) with 20 points. Stefan Pratt scored 11. Due to St. Martin’s football team traveling to Pearl on Friday to open the Class 6A playoffs, St. Martin will host Long Beach in a boys-only matchup at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The game was originally scheduled for Friday at LBHS.

Ocean Springs 81, Gulfport 71: Malcolm Magee led OSHS (1-1) with 31 points and 11 rebounds. Ryan Black added 24 points with 10 rebounds. Nate Hudson led GHS with 17 points. Jytireus Smith had 16 points. Juan Irias and Oliver McDowell scored 12 for the Admirals (1-1).

Pearl River Central 54, St. Stanislaus 41: Ethan Henley and A.J. Banks led PRC with 14 and 13 points respectively. Brandon Bordelon scored 12 points with seven rebounds to pace SSC. Luke Ladner added 12 points.

Harrison Central girls 47, Hattiesburg 34: Chyna Allen led HCHS (2-0) with 20 points, three assists and six steals.

Harrison Central 77, Hattiesburg 74 (OT): Dajon Whitworth led HCHS (1-1) with 18 points. Kendrick Shields and Kenrickus Boler added 11 and 10 points respectively.

Biloxi 56, Pass Christian 40: Dillyn Neely led Biloxi with 18 points, while Dontavius Proby and Roshaun Jones scored 14 and 10 respectively.

Other results: Vancleave girls 41, St. Patrick 33; St. Martin girls 58, Theodore (Ala.) 27.

Soccer

D’Iberville girls 3, Forrest County AHS 2: Sierra McLeod, Layla Wilson and Shea Mallard all scored for DHS.

George County girls 3, Stone 1: Olivia Simpson scored twice and Brooke Tanner added a third goal for GCHS. Skyler Steede earned the win.

Our Lady Academy 2, Gulfport 2: Olivia Gelpi scored both OLA goals, with Ashlyn Davis assisting both times. Paige Palazzo made seven saves for OLA.

St. Stanislaus 1, Gulfport 0: Stephen Bonck scored the game’s lone goal.
