Ocean Springs held a ceremony Monday morning to honor four of its college-bound athletes.

Baseball players Cooper Brune and Garrett Crochet both signed with Jones County Junior College, while receiver Austin Williams reaffirmed his commitment to Mississippi State. Gymnast Sarah Edwards did the same with her pledge to LSU.

As a junior, Brune hit .239 with 13 RBIs and five extra-base hits while also posting a 3-1 record with a 0.88 ERA. Crochet was 3-0 on the mound with a 0.51 ERA.

Williams just punctuated his senior season by representing the Coast in the annual Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Classic, which was hosted in Montgomery, Alabama. As a senior, Williams led OSHS with 48 receptions for 697 yards and 13 touchdowns. Williams is an early enrolle and will be in Starkville in January.

Edwards honed her craft at Lanier Gymnastics and excels at vaulting and as a tumbler. She hopes to compete in those events as well as the balance beam and uneven bars at LSU.
