Snow is melting, stores are reopening and trash service resumes. Here’s the latest list

Schools and some offices are still closed Thursday as South Mississippi returns to business as usual.

With daytime highs nearing 50 degrees, most of the snow will be melted by the end of the day and most stores will be open.

Nearly all grocery stores have reopened, although some have a delayed opening Thursday.

The I-10 on ramps are still icy and slippery, and drivers are encouraged to drive carefully on their way to work.

Casinos that closed because of the snow will reopen today.

Flights are taking off and landing again at Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport.

Mail delivery and trash collections will resume.

ALDI stores in Ocean Springs and Pascagoula are open

Greer’s Markets in Hurley, Vancleave and Poplarville are open

Rouses Markets are open

Walmart stores are open

Trash collections

Coastal Environmental in Hancock County has an adjusted schedule .

Diamondhead — Collection is suspended for Thursday. Check here for pickup schedule.

Harrison County Utility Authority solid waste routes will not run on Thursday. Routes will be adjusted: Tuesday’s routes will be picked up next week. Wednesday routes will run on Friday, Thursday routes on Saturday and Friday routes on Sunday.

Waste Management has suspended all garbage and trash collection service in Harrison and Jackson counties, and surrounding areas Thursday. Wednesday’s service will be picked up Friday. Thursday’s service will be picked up Saturday. Friday’s service will be picked up Sunday. Tuesday service will be picked up on normal route next Tuesday.

Waveland will only have one pickup of garbage this week. If your pickup is Monday/Thursday, then Monday will be your only pickup. If your pickup is Tuesday/Friday, then your only pickup will be Friday. Regular schedule should return next week.

Medical closings

Coastal Family Health Center is open

Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System facilities are open

Memorial Hospital walk-in clinics are closed Thursday. Check the schedule here. Memorial Urgent Care at 1104 Broad Ave. in Gulfport will be open from noon-4 p.m. Thursday. Virtual care through MemorialConnectNow is available 24/7 by calling 228-867-5000.

Mississippi Health Departments in South Mississippi will have delayed openings at 10 a.m. or remain closed Thursday. Check for closures here.

Ochsner Health clinics and outpatient facilities opened at noon Thursday. Urgent care locations are closed Thursday.

Singing River Health System clinics, medical office building, imaging centers, and the neuroscience building opened at 10 a.m. Thursday. Singing River Gulfport medical office building opened at noon. Elective surgeries began at 7:30 a.m. at Ocean Springs and Pascagoula. and at 9 a.m. at Singing River Gulfport.
