Two Coast counties are under tornado watch as severe weather moves across the South

Four of six South Mississippi counties are under tornado watch as severe weather moves across the South on Tuesday morning.

Harrison, Jackson, Stone and George counties are under tornado watch until 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Radar images show a large system moving east across the state which is bringing extreme weather to the area.

A strong line of storms pounded Lauren, Ellisville and the Colllins area, and all are under a flash flood warning until 10:30 a.m., according to the NWS in Jackson.

This is the third week in a row where severe weather capable of producing tornadoes has threatened Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama.
