‘Worst house on the best block’ just sold in California for $2 million. Take a look
The new owner of a home in San Francisco must have visualized a hidden gem in a run down, train wreck of a property, because they shelled out $1.97 million for it.
Or, it’s because the house is located in one of the most desirable locations in the city by the bay.

While the photos of the run-down interior appear rough, it’s clear that there is amazing potential in its bones.
The 2,158-square-foot property caught the eye of the popular social media page Zillow Gone Wild, as fans marveled at the price of the sale and the possible future of the house.
“A house like this goes for 5 million in good condition,” one person said.
“The generic Modern Farmhouse flip begins in 3...2..1..” another joked.
“This is the house from money pit,” one person commented.
“I mean, I see its potential to be a beautiful home,” someone observed. “If you have the time and money to fix it up...”
“I would love to see pictures of someone bringing it back to its former glory,” another said.
“Wow. It actually has a parking space,” one person observed. “No wonder it sold for almost 2 million!”
“How does it have over 2000 sq ft and no bedrooms?” another person asked. “Put a bed in a room, boom it’s a bedroom.”
“Never have I ever wished to be able to flip a house until this minute,” one person commented.

One of the most impressive aspects about the house is that it was built in 1900, six years before “one of the most significant earthquakes of all time” — a 7.9 magnitude that struck on April 18, 1906, and destroyed most of the city.
