Winning Mega Millions ticket sold on MS Coast was 1 number away from $565M jackpot
Someone holding a lottery ticket bought in Vancleave is a $1 million richer after playing five correct numbers in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing.
The ticket did not include the correct Mega Ball number, which would have brought the winnings up to a whopping $565 million.
The player also missed out on the opportunity to double the winnings by playing the multiplier for an extra $1.
The winning numbers from the Dec. 27 drawing were 9; 13; 36; 59; and 61 with a Mega Ball of 11 and a Megaplier of two.
Friday’s estimated jackpot will be $640 million with a cash value of $328.3 million.
