Update: Eastbound backup cleared, trouble remains on I-10 westbound in South MS

4:10 p.m.: MDOT reports that traffic is moving again without delay on I-10 eastbound. Delays remain, though, for drivers traveling west on the interstate. Additionally, there are backups in both directions south of I-10 on Lorraine Road.

A crash Thursday afternoon on Interstate 10 in Harrison County may delay some drivers, according to the Mississippi Department of Transportation.

MDOT reported the crash at 2:55 p.m. near Exit 38 and warned eastbound drivers to expect delays.

The crash is in an area of I-10 between the Biloxi River bridge and Exit 38, where the left westbound lane is closed for repairs. MDOT’s live traffic map also shows significant backups for westbound travelers.
