I-10 lane closure could slow South MS drivers this month. Here’s where, and why
Traffic could grow congested this month on a busy stretch of Interstate 10 where a construction crew has closed one lane for repairs.
The closure began Wednesday morning in the left westbound lane between the Biloxi River bridge and Exit 38. The Mississippi Department of Transportation said lane would stay closed for at least 10 days while a construction crew fixes an inlet and pipe failure.
Traffic was still rolling by 8:20 a.m., according to a MDOT traffic map.
“Motorists should be on high alert for roadside workers,” the agency said, “and should seek an alternate route if possible.”
