Now a daily occurrence, expect 6 hours of congestion on I-10 near MS, LA state line
Travelers near the Mississippi-Louisiana state line should expect heavy traffic delays and congestion during their Friday commute.
According to the Mississippi Department of Transportation, travelers going westbound on I-10 near Exit 2 near Waveland should expect major delays. The congestion is expected to last for approximately 6-and-a-half hours, MDOT said at 9:30 a.m.
This is yet another delay near the state line in what has become a near daily occurrence.
The delays have been occurring for more than 2 months after a bridge was damaged by a semi-truck hauling BMWs. MDOT hopes the bridge will be repaired by April.
