Are MS Coast schools and districts returning to a normal schedule after two days off?

After a day of snowfall across the Gulf Coast, Mississippi Coast school districts and institutions of higher learning must decide what to do about bringing students back to school.

Here is a list of local districts and schools and their announced plans for Thursday, Jan. 23 and beyond, which will continue to be updated as cancellations roll in:

Bay St. Louis-Waveland School District: Schools will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Biloxi Public School District: Schools will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Coast Episcopal School: School will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

George County School District: Schools will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Grace Baptist Academy:School will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Gulfport School District: Schools will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Hancock County School District: Schools will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Harrison County School District: Schools will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Holy Trinity Catholic School: School will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Jackson County School District:Schools will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Long Beach School District: Schools will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Moss Point School District: Schools will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Nativity BVM School: School will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Ocean Springs School District: Schools will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Our Lady Academy: School will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Our Lady of Fatima Catholic: School will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Pascagoula-Gautier School District: Schools will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Pass Christian School District: Schools will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Pearl River County School District: Schools will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Picayune School District: Schools will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Poplarville School District: Schools will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Resurrection Catholic: School will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Sacred Heart Catholic: School will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

St. Alphonsus Catholic School: School will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

St. James Catholic: School will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

St. Patrick Catholic High School: School will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

St. Vincent de Paul Catholic: School will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Saint Stanislaus High School: School will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Stone County School District: Schools will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23.

Higher education

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College: All locations will remain closed Thursday, Jan. 23. All classes will be online. All campus facilities are closed except for the cafeteria and residence halls on the Perkinston campus.

University of Southern Mississippi: Campus, teaching and research sites along the Gulf Coast will remain closed and in-person classes will be canceled on Thursday, Jan. 23. The Hattiesburg campus will resume normal operations and class schedules Thursday.

William Carey University: Tradition and Baton Rouge campuses will remain closed and classes will be online for Thursday, Jan. 23. Offices for the Hattiesburg campus will open at 10 a.m. on Thursday with afternoon and night classes meeting on regular schedule. All regular classes and operations for all three campuses will resume on Friday, Jan. 24.
