Police: Man wanted in Moss Point hotel shooting turns himself in
MOSS POINT -- A man wanted in a Sunday shooting at the Holiday Inn parking lot turned himself in to police Wednesday, Chief Art McClung said.
On Monday, McClung had asked for help to find Timothy Johnson of Catalpa Avenue in the shooting that wounded one person. Johnson was booked on an attempted murder charge and an attempted robbery charge.
McClung said Johnson is held at the Jackson County jail on a $120,000 bond.
McClung said the person who was shot ran from the parking lot on Amoco Drive to the Best Western next door for help.
He was taken to Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula, where he underwent surgery. McClung said Tuesday he is in stable condition.
The victim's name has not yet been released.
