MS Coast coroner identifies victim of fatal shooting at Gulfport park

A 33-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting Saturday at West Side Park in Gulfport.

Rickey Durr, of Magee, died of a gunshot wound after he was brought to Memorial Hospital, Harrison County Deputy Coroner Whitney Valles said.

Police responded to the shooting about 5:30 p.m. and issued a first-degree murder warrant for Kendall Jamal McCall, 32, of Jackson. McCall later turned himself in and was held Monday morning at the Harrison County jail on a $1 million bond.
