2 MS Coast teenagers arrested in connection to Biloxi bar shooting, police say
Police arrested two teenagers this week in connection to a shooting that injured six people last month at a Biloxi bar.
The shooting happened March 2 at Club Elevate, a bar at 279 Caillavet St. Officers who went to the bar at 9:30 p.m. found a large crowd and several victims with gunshot wounds, police said. Two people suffered life-threatening injuries.
Biloxi police said Friday that alleged shooter Kyion Taroy Nasaiah Bell, 18, of Gulfport, had been arrested on Monday. He faces six counts of aggravated assault.
Police also said Chrishide Devontee Mar’ke Jordan, 18, of Biloxi, turned himself in to police on Wednesday and is facing a charge of accessory after the fact. A Biloxi police spokesperson did not immediately explain what Jordan is accused of doing after the shooting.
Police said Friday that none of the shooting victims had died but that several were treated in hospitals out of state. Authorities provided no update on the conditions of the two people they said suffered life-threatening injuries.
A motive in the shooting is still unclear.
Bell is being held in the Harrison County jail on a $1.5 million bond. Jail records show Jordan was released on bond from the Harrison County jail Wednesday afternoon. Police said Jordan is also a suspect in a drive-by shooting last May in the 200 block of Oak Street.
