2 suffer life-threatening injuries in shooting at South Mississippi bar, police say

A shooting at a Biloxi bar Sunday night has four people hospitalized, two with life-threatening injuries, according to the Biloxi Police Department.

The shooting happened at Elevate, a bar at 279 Caillavet Street, around 9:30 p.m., police said, and no arrests have been made.

In a news release Monday afternoon, police said no additional details were available. Biloxi PD added that it is “also unable to provide updates regarding the condition of any of the victims.”

“Our hearts are heavy as we extend our deepest sympathies to everyone affected by the tragic shooting that occurred today at 279 Caillavet St. in Biloxi,” Elevate said in a post on social media late Sunday night. “We stand with the community during this difficult time and hope for swift action and resolution as authorities continue their investigation. To those impacted, please know that you are in our thoughts.”
