Two more teens, 15 and 17, arrested after shooting that left one dead in St. Martin

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department has charged two more teenagers in connection with a Monday morning shooting in St. Martin that left one teen dead and sent another to the hospital, Sheriff Mike Ezell announced in a press release.

A 17-year-old from Biloxi and a 15-year-old from Ocean Springs have both been charged with accessory after the fact. Each of their bonds are set at $25,000.

Christian Kennedy, 19, and Caden Walker, 16, were previously charged with aggravated assault in the shooting and their bonds were set at $250,000 each.

Kennedy is also charged with directing a minor to commit a felony and he now has the additional charge of tampering with physical evidence.

The teen who died in the shooting is 18-year-old Marcello English.

Derrick Craft, an 18-year-old who was with English, was also shot and he was taken to the University of South Alabama Medical Center in critical condition.

English was found lying in the road near the intersection of Amhurst and Hamilton Drive in St. Martin.

Ezell said that he believes the shooting happened during an altercation.

The sheriff’s department is working with the district attorney’s office to prepare the case for a grand jury.
