One man sought in an armed robbery at a home in Gulf Park Estates is in custody while federal marshals look for a former D’Iberville High football standout also accused in the holdup.
Andreyus Lavone Walker-Wells, 19, of Ocean Springs, is held for the Mississippi Department of Corrections while marshals look for Jacquelle Christopher Green, 20, of D’Iberville, Sheriff Mike Ezell said.
The two are accused in an armed robbery at a home on Beachview Drive on Dec. 20.
Green may be driving an older model blue Dodge Durango with tag number HIS-177, the sheriff said.
Ezell said Green is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him should call their local law enforcement agency, he said.
Green had at one time been eyed by recruiters at Alabama, LSU, Georgia and other university football programs.
He signed a college scholarship in 2016 with the University of Texas-San Antonio. Arrests in Pensacola and D’Iberville dashed his college hopes.
The arrest in D’Iberville involved the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver. In Pensacola, he was accused in a shooting and armed robbery with four victims.
Wells turned himself in Dec. 26. His bond was set at $50,000, but he can’t post bail. A judge has revoked Wells’ probation on a felony conviction, Ezell said.
