He’s 21 and wanted in a shooting in Gulfport. The victim was shot in the neck.

Police have identified a 21-year-old man as the suspect in a shooting on Sunday that wounded an 18-year-old on Sixth Avenue.

Calvin Jackson IV is sought on a warrant on an aggravated assault charge, according to the Gulfport Police Department.

Patrol officers responding to a report of a shooting in the 6000 block about 4 p.m. found the victim with a gunshot wound to the neck, Police Sgt. Clayton Fulks said.

It happened outside a duplex apartment, he said.

Jackson fled before police arrived, Fulks said.

Jackson and the wounded man know each other, he said.

Police have interviewed several people and are withholding further details, Fulks said.
